Design Mallows for Courvoisier
Bonjour mes amies! I’m just back from the most glorious summer holiday in France so what perfect timing to share with you our new BIG collab with French heritage brand Courvoisier.
This summer Courvoisier have commissioned a limited edition bottle design from British Nigerian artist, Yinka Ilori - the new VSOP bottle is only available from Selfridges and to celebrate they asked us to whip up some exclusive sweet treats to be served alongside their creation!
Taking over Selfridges London’s ‘Wonder Room’, Yinka Ilori has given the space a vivid makeover- inspired by the joy of a summer’s day in Jarnac, France, the home of Courvoisier. And as well as a stunning pop up bar filled with ombré colours and contemporary cocktails here’s what French inspired fancies we brought to the party..Each cocktail served in the wonder room is paired with one of our mallows or teacakes- created to complement the flavour combinations from each serve.
‘The Gala’ is a Courvoisier VSOP with Sicilian lemonade, served with our blueberry, hibiscus and lemon marshmallow flourished with a handpainted white chocolate shard.
‘Peach Daisy’ – cognac with apricot liqueur, roasted peach syrup and lemon juice, with a peach and apricot marshmallow garnished with fresh rose petals
‘The French 125’, with cognac, lemon juice, sparkling wine and spiced vanilla syrup, paired with our signature ombré chocolate teacake whipped from fresh vanilla mallow fluff and a Courvoisier infused lemon centre.
Yinka Iloris’ bold designs are a fusion of joy and futurism and we had SO much fun testing out these flavours in the bakery- the challenge to match the design of the new bottle with something equally fun and modern yet retain that classic French elegance. Dreaming up flavours that elevated each cocktail into something truly decadent. And some daytime sips of Courvoisier You know, just to make sure we were on the right track…a real treat. We’re tingly with excitement with how they turned out and you can try them for yourself if you pop by Selfridges London until 10th September. After that…watch this space because these mallows are just *too* beautiful not to share a bit more.
Please sell these online. I would 100% buy a few boxes with these flavours.
