Rogue Matilda x The Marshmallowist
There’s nothing I love more than a collaboration. Dreaming up marshmallow flavours is fun but it’s even more fun when it’s a challenge… create a marshmallow that looks like jewel or tastes like a bonfire or…matches my shoes. So when the lovely shoe brand Rogue Matilda asked us to create a floral inspired box of mallows to match their Spring collection. Well, how could we say no?
Working in a kitchen means my footwear is pretty limited to, well, crocs. And outside of the kitchen I just can’t wear anything other than flats. I’ve tired. But I give up. I like to be comfy. Well, Rogue Matilda are a British, female founded shoe brand that only make flats. But not ‘flat’ flats. The shoes they create are attention grabbing show stoppers. It’s bright, playful footwear that becomes the focal point of an outfit. And just like us they like to give the traditional a fresh twist- classic, fun and all handcrafted too!
Their theme for this spring is candy, they shared their fave shoes with us and we whipped up a limited edition box of mallows to match… we’ve called them our ‘Blooming Lovely’ marshmallows.
Featuring two new flavoues: Rose and pistachio with edible rose petals- a soft rose mallow with a creamy pistachio centre. Each mallow is finished with an edible rose petal. Then we’ve taken our bestselling raspberry and champagne and enrobed it in chocolate for a luxe finish. Hand dipped in a light ruby chocolate with a sprinkling of dried raspberries.
Each gold foiled box is lined with soft pink tissue and a hand tied ribbon because it feels a little more dreamy and sumptuous to unfurl ribbon. It also makes them ready to gift which given that it’s Mother’s Day next week its seemed the perfect time to launch. You can buy now and we’ll send them across the UK from Monday 8th. We’ll also pop in a handwritten card too.
For March, Jenny and I are Rogue Matilda’s ‘Rogue Girls’ where they find out a little more about female founders…what we’re listening to, wearing, where we like going ( in non Covid times) If you fancy having a nosy at what we get up to… you can read it here.
I just love getting to work with my sister and the achievement of us growing something together.
I love that we can be creative and experiment with what we do
